Japanese designer Jun Takahashi and Nike teamed up to create the Undercover x Wmns Daybreak “Lucky Green,” released June 2019 with a unique aesthetic that reimagines the classic runner from 1979. Earning fame via Joan Benoit Samuelson’s Marathon win at the 1984 Olympic Summer Games in LA, the Daybreak is one of Nike’s foundational silhouettes. This Undercover x Nike Daybreak features a Green nylon upper with Red contrasting accents on the Swoosh and laces. Shaggy suede overlays on the forefoot, heel, and eyelets with a speckled heel counter atop a Sail midsole and classic waffle outsole.
