The Air Fear of God 1 “Black” is one of the inaugural colorways of the performance basketball shoe made in collaboration between Nike and Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God. The fashion-forward silhouette uses a brand new last made expressly for the specific model, topped with a minimalist black leather upper with a TPU cage inspired by the Huarache Light. The sportswear-influenced high-top basketball shoe features a thick White midsole and Air Max 180-inspired Zoom Air unit in the heel. A small Nike Swoosh is found on the upper, which is constructed in a mix of canvas and leather. A Huarache Light-inspired TPU lacing system rounds out the military look. The bold design bridges the gap between luxury streetwear aesthetics and a functional performance basketball shoe. The audacious high-top upper features a durable ballistic nylon with premium nubuck for the toe paneling and a unique lacing system finished with a retro-inspired lacelock. The thick sculpted foam sole unit is cushioned with a large visible Zoom Air bag in the heel that clearly displays the model’s performance attributes.
