The premium leather materials compose the Banned Air Jordan 1 and its mid-top design, with a red toe box, heel, outsole and branded tongue, outlined with hard black colours around the mudguards, lace unit and inners. A strong colourway for an even stronger sneaker. This popular AJ1 is here to remind us of the waves that Michael Jordan made back in 1984. Where rules were slightly less casual than they are in this day and age, court sneakers had to match the team colours, but MJ wanted to make an impact. Each time he wore these Bred kicks, he was fined $5,000. Despite this, Jordan continued to don the colourway (with help from Nike to do so) and, inevitably, pushed himself even higher in the scene. From that, comes the “Banned” colourway.
