308497-015 Air Jordan 4 Retro DB “Doernbecher” 2018 For Sale
The Air Jordan 4 “Doernbecher” was a sneaker made by Isaiah Scott, a patient at the Doernbecher Hospital. Isaiah’s design on the Air Jordan 4 was inspired by the nickname gave to him by his mom, Superman, displayed by the predominant “S” on the tongue. This Air Jordan 4 from the 2011 Doernbecher Freestyle collection is still one of the most popular Air Jordans ever released in the charitable collection benefiting the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Designed by patient Isaiah Scott, the shoe features a black nubuck upper with vibrant contrast coloring and Isaiah’s own details including a Superman logo on each tongue and his portrait on the heels. Designed with the help of Isaiah Scott, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the Air Jordan 4 Retro DB “Doernbecher” features inspiration from Superman. The shoe’s black nubuck upper includes vibrant green on the laces, midsole and heel branding, while the tongue tag has been outfitted with Superman’s “S.” A red Air bubble in the heel adds a further nod to the Man of Steel, with Scott’s silhouette on the heel. The sneaker also features a nod to Nate “Kryptonite” Robinson by lime green accents throughout, and arrows pointing in every direction representing the ups and downs of life. Finished off by a custom emblem on the heel and an icy blue sole, the Air Jordan 4 “Doernbecher” is complete.
